Our main goal is to create a more inclusive and diverse tech landscape. Our unique approach centers around hosting events that bring together established professionals and eager job seekers. Through a series of engaging events, workshops, and networking sessions, we aim to empower aspiring individuals to pursue successful careers in technology, regardless of their background or circumstances. We understand that lasting change requires continuous support. In addition to our events, we offer ongoing resources, including career development workshops and access to training resources. Career Development

The Career Development Initiative is a dynamic program designed to empower individuals by providing them with invaluable insights and expertise from esteemed guest speakers. Through engaging talks, these industry leaders generously share their experiences, offering invaluable advice and enabling participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of diverse career paths across various fields.

Our initiative goes beyond speaker sessions by organizing enriching events that foster meaningful networking opportunities. These gatherings promote connections with like-minded professionals, enabling individuals to expand their professional networks and create lasting relationships. Additionally, we offer a range of activities tailored to enhance career development and equip participants with essential skills for success in their chosen paths.

Education & Training

Tampa Bay Techies facilitates continuous learning in our tech community. We strive to foster an environment of shared knowledge, skill development, and accessibility to top-notch resources, powering the tech talent pipeline in our region. We host study sessions for certification preparation and academic advancement, where participants are surrounded by fellow tech students and professionals. These study sessions provide our attendees with a quiet environment to study, ask questions, and learn from others.

In addition to our study sessions, we aim to establish Tampa Bay Techies chapters in educational institutions to assist students and recent graduates with transitioning from student life into the workforce. Our goal is to promote an encouraging community within the educational institutions as well as in the general Tampa Bay Techies chapter.

The heart of Tampa Bay Techies lies in our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. We offer training resources to our group members at little to no cost, making it possible for anyone with a passion for technology to advance their skills and knowledge. Through this support, we aspire to level the playing field and empowering our members to compete for high-demand tech roles.

To achieve this vision, we partner with leading training resources and educational institutions to curate a wide range of courses and workshops. These resources cover various tech disciplines, from coding and programming to cloud computing, cybersecurity, and beyond. Industry Representation

We empower our members to be actively involved in technology industry by engaging in various events around Tampa Bay. Several of our members are leaders in other technology, business, and entrepreneur networking groups. By attending these events, our group members are highlighting their skills and expertise to other members of the community while also learning from other groups. We encourage our members to bring what they have learned at outside events to Tampa Bay Techies to help share knowledge.

Social Events

We know that working in the technology industry can be overwhelming and that formal networking events can be nerve wracking. This is why we plan and host casual social events from happy hours to group activities. These events are great for individuals new to the networking scene to meet others in the industry and get to know each other outside of the work setting.

Volunteering & Philanthropy

As a 501(c)(3) organization, Tampa Bay Techies wholeheartedly believes in the power of collective action to create positive change. We are committed to supporting the missions of various local nonprofits by organizing group volunteer days. Through our group volunteer days, we create opportunities for people to come together, share their skills and time, and contribute meaningfully to various causes. These days are designed to be inclusive and engaging. We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds, fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect. Participants have the chance to experience the joy of giving back while learning about the pressing issues in our community.
